What is Handles Club?
Handles Club is a collection of 212 domains available for anyone to use with Bluesky, for free. Remove bsky.social from your name by choosing a handle that speaks to you.
Can I keep the handle forever?
Yes, once you register a handle, it is yours forever, even if you switch to a different handle on Bluesky.
How much does it cost?
Handles Club is free, forever. The service doesn't cost much to run, we don't need to charge for it. Details of the project's finances are published on our Open Collective.
How many handles can I have?
As many as you like: a handle for your main, a handle for your alt, a handle for your dog and even a handle for your dog's alt. Switch between your handles as often as you like. Bluesky will reserve your original bsky.social handle so that you can switch back at any time.
How do I add my handle to Bluesky?
- Go to your Bluesky settings, then "account" and click "Handle"
- In the "Change Handle" window click "I have my own domain"
- Enter your new handle (e.g "alice.provides.examples")
- Click "No DNS Panel" and then click "Verify Text File" at the bottom
- Finally, save your new handle: click "Update to "alice.provides.examples""
Who runs Handles Club?
Handles Club is created and operated by Shrink Inc., a little company that makes little things for the internet, like handles.net, defunct.net, avatars.dog and handles-server.
What if I can't find a handle I like?
If there's a handle you would like to use that isn't supported, please let us know and we'll see what we can do to add a suitable domain — some of our best domains came from community suggestions!

Can I use my handle domain outside of Bluesky?
We do not have any plans to offer that right now, but it might happen in future, let us know if that is something you are interested in.

Handles Club is limited to domains we own and control but the system that powers Handles Club is available to use for free at handles.net.
